Rosanne Webb Chilton 1955 ~ 2006
Rosanne Webb Chilton lived 13 years without the love of her life. We are at peace knowing those years of being alone without her sweetheart have finally come to an end. Rosanne "Rose" returned to the presence of our Heavenly Father November 4, 2006. Rose's life ended tragically as a result of a fall, causing a massive brain injury. Rose made it very clear that if such a tragedy were to ever occur, she would want to donate her living organs and tissue as gifts to others who were praying for a miracle. Her wish was granted. Rose was born July 6, 1955 to Oscar Mason and Rogellyne Pickett Webb. Rose was an example of strength, perseverance, and faith even as a young child. Rose was raised by her Grandpa and Grandma Hess through her childhood. She would spend summers working at their hotel in Nauvoo, Illinois. Rose was then adopted into the loving and caring arms of Dott and Randy Strand during her adolescence. It was there she learned to laugh, water ski, enjoy the out of doors, and finally felt the security of a loving family. Rose excelled in all her scholastic endeavors. She met Mark Pritchett Chilton and dated him more than a year. On December 19, 1974 they were sealed for eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple. Together Mark and Rose were complete. They loved each other with an undying devotion. Together they both completed their college education at the University of Utah. They had three children whom they taught to love life as they did. Their summer recreation was spent with their children in Lake Powell, The High Uintahs, and Lagoon. Their winter recreation was spent with their children on the slopes of Snowbird. On March 12, 1994 Rose lost her one true love. With the help of numerous friends and family she gracefully put her life together and completed raising her children, maintaining the same quality of life with which they had all become acquainted. Rose's love and passion was felt in the lives of her friends, family, children, and her children's friends. Rose and Mark both shared in the joy of their earthly grandchildren, Jada Rose, and Troy Danny. "Gramma Rose" spent eight months with her granddaughter as she imparted her strength and faith to help Jada Rose obtain a liver transplant from an unknown donor. "Gramma Rose" spent three months with her grandson, Troy Danny, babysitting, reading, and enjoying him as his parents were at work and school. Troy Danny was the last individual to receive her healing hugs and kisses. In death Rose continues to give of herself as many souls received a similar gift as her granddaughter. She is survived by her three children, Troy, Teya, Loni, and their spouses, Andrea, Sean, and Zak. Three grandchildren, Jada Rose, Troy Danny, and one to be named in 71/2 months; as well as many others whom she loved. Momma Rose, Gramma Rose, Rosey or Rose.....You will be missed, loved and remembered. Now finally, be with your "Marko" as you always wanted. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov.8, 2006 at 12 noon in the Orchard Stake Center, 3600 South Orchard Drive, North Salt Lake. Friends and family may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the stake center 10-11:30 a.m. Burial will be by the side of her husband, Mark, in Lakeview Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chilton Grandchildren Fund at any Zions Bank.
