Steven George Townsend 1954 - 1976

Born December 8, 1954. Died May 2, 1976.  Buried in the Centerville City Cemetery.

Townsend Rites
Steven George Townsend, 21, 109 West 2200 South, Bountiful, died May 2, 1976 in an auto accident.

He was born to George A. and Faye Erickson Townsend in Salt Lake City on Dec. 8, 1954.

Attended schools in Bountiful and attended Viewmont High School; was a construction worker and member of the Bountiful 28th Ward.

Survivors, include parents of Bountiful; two brothers, Gary Townsend, West Jordan, Utah; Randy Townsend. Bountiful; grandparents, Mrs. Grace DeJohn, Butte, Mont.; Mrs. Violet Jeffries, Salt Lake City and Clarence Erickson, Draper.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary with Bishop Richard Hixon, Bountiful 28th Ward, conducting.

Family prayer was by Gary Townsend; prelude and postlude music, Leone Fisher; invocation, Byron Jones; bishop's remarks. Richard Hixon; speakers, Bishop Bruce Benedict and Devon Stowell.

Steven Allred presented a guitar solo, "Both Sides Now"; benediction, Ike Ferguson.  Dedication of the grave was by Ronald Erickson with interment in the Centerville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Phil Bernard. Steve Allred. John Barton, Brett Small, Mike Crowley and Tom Eddy.  Honorary pallbearers were Brent Crosby and Spence Hogan.

Flowers were cared for by the Bountiful 28th Ward Relief Society.
