Vicki Lin Ellis
November 16, 1954 - June 25, 2018
Monday June 25 heaven got a new angel. Vicki was a very beloved wife and mother. Family was her life; they were her first thought in the morning and her last thought before bed. She spent her life serving them and serving others. She spent the past 38 years working at LDS Family Services as an executive secretary where she served with the adoption agency and then the missionary counseling department. At work her devotion to others was evident, serving and loving others, and touching many lives. She lived for her family; her greatest joy was found in her 3 sons and her 8 grandchildren. She most loved sitting and watching her grandkids play and laughing at their antics. She would whip out her phone at every chance to share photos of her beloved grandchildren at the slightest mention of them. On her computer at work she had her grandkids’ pictures cycling through as her screen saver.
Everyone who met Vicki Lin fell under her spell. She was always helping and thinking of others. She loved to cross stich and read and always had a book with her. She loved watching kids play and spent many an evening at the local baseball field watching the kids play as her husband coached. Her favorite age group was always the peewees. A family friend said in memory of her “I hope there is a kids baseball game going on wherever she is at, because that is where you will find her watching and laughing.”
She leaves behind her husband Charles W. Ellis, 3 Sons- Marc Ryan Ellis (Beth), Daniel “Danny” Wayne Ellis (Shana), Craig Joseph “Joie” Ellis (Jennie), and 8 grandkids- Maurice, Lillianna, Ryan, Kaden, Jaxson, David, Logan and Emily. She also leaves behind her father Nolan Lynn Terry and 2 sisters- Leslee Ann Green and Heather Busillo. She is reunited with her Mother Norma Annie Terry and her sister Cherylin Terry. She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be at memorial estates at the Moutainview cemetery at 3115 E Bengal Boulevard in Cottonwood Heights on Tuesday 7/3 at 11 am with a viewing at 10 am, and a viewing Monday 7/2 from 6pm to 8pm.
