Melanie June Young
June 9, 1955 ~ December 25, 2017 (age 62)
Melanie June Young, 62 of Rocklin, CA peacefully passed away on 12/25/2017. She was born on June 9th, 1955 in Ogden, UT to Louis Selleneit and June Selleneit (Clark).
She is survived by: her husband Cary Young of San Francisco, CA, and her 4 children Tiffany Fink (Justin Fink) of Rocklin, CA, Tash Young of Roseville, CA, Brittany Filetti (Jared Filetti) of Magnolia, TX, Summer Labrum (Danny Labrum) of South Jordan, UT. Additionally, her 10 grandchildren, and her sister Kari Greenfield of Fort Worth, TX.
Melanie loved to serve others, take care of the elderly, crochet, sing, scrapbook, make crafts, shop, and play with her grandkids! She was quite the laundry extraordinaire; There was not a stain she could not remove. She was a true example of what our Savior would want us to be. Any spare time she had she was writing letters of encouragement to others, making gifts for loved ones, or reading her scriptures. When given the chance, she always took the opportunity to share her testimony of Jesus Christ and his love for us all. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
There will be a viewing at Russon Brothers Mortuary located at 295 N Main Street Bountiful, UT on Thursday December 28th at 9:30am and the funeral will begin at 11am. The interment will follow thereafter at Bountiful Cemetery 2224 S 200 W Bountiful, UT. The memorial service will be held on Saturday December 30th at 10am at 2831 Theona Way Rocklin, CA 95765. Any and all are welcome to attend either service.

This has been a year of heartfelt loss. I first saw this posted on the Viewmont FaceBook page. Melanie was my very first locker partner, in 7th grade. I remember her soft smile, and how tall she was compaired to me. She sweetly took the upper shelf, and easily reached for her things as I got mine between classes. She was always kind and friendly to everyone... something she obviously carried thoughout her life.

Malanie was such a sweet friend. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I did not read my Emails in time to pay respects. I am not suprised by the posted memories. She was always a happy friendly face in the halls of Viewmont.
