Kent J. Parkin 1955 - 1996

Kaysville – Kent J. Parkin, age 40, loving husband, father and best friend, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 1996 at his home of a heart attack.

He was born August 28, 1955 in Salt Lake City, a son of Martin J. and Ruth Sailor Parkin.  He married Carolee J. Colistro {1957-2015}, August 26, 1990 in Oregon.  He was a member of the Kaysville 6th LDS Ward.

He worked at the Union Pacific Railroad for 10 years.  He was an avid sports fan.  He loved working with his hands, enjoyed photography and was a great cook.  He was a great friend who always had a smile.  Kent loved life and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his wife of Kaysville, tow sons, Jeremy Parkin, Blaine Parkin, both of Payson; his mother, Ruth Parkin, Kaysville; one sister, Kim Redd, Woods Cross.  He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Keith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 1996 11 am at the Kaysville LDS Chapek, 50 West 300 South, Kaysville.  Family and friends may call Friday 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, and at the church Saturday, from 9:45-10:45 am interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
