Bret Merrill Lindsey, age 61, passed away on May 31, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on April 5, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kent Merrill Lindsey and Marian Hepworth.

Bret loved golfing, bowling and watching football. He graduated from Eagle Gate College with his MA Degree, served in the National Guard and U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by daughters: Bree Lindsey Heddlesten, Brittany Lindsey; granddaughters: Aspynn Lindsey Paitynn Heddlesten; sister: Debbie Workman (Scott); brothers: Jeff Lindsey (Peggy), Chris Thompson, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: Kent Merrill Lindsey; mother: Marian Hepworth and grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S. in SLC. A viewing will be held on Monday at Deseret Mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
